In May, Erica started on the Drag Bike which is a Kawasaki ZX14 and she really grabbed the bull by the horns. So far she has a best time in the quarter mile at 9.8 seconds at 145 mph. 


What's most amazing is that the bike she rides is one of the fastest production motorcycles built and is typically piloted by grown men so it's unheard of for a 16 year old female to successfully pilot such a bike.


She's only been to the drag strip 3 times and has put many a man in their place. I must say, it's very humbling for the men who compete on the same and similar bikes to run against her but we've made many new friends there.


Check out Erica at one of her slower runs which was taken the 1st. night at the track which shows a 10.4 second run at 141 mph.


Erica is becoming more consistent and running mid 9's sec. ET's all night and now has run a best 1/4 mile ET of 9.58 seconds at 145 mph with a 1.57 sec. 60 ft. time. The weather conditions are still not favorable for a good run so maybe in good weather we could see a 9.4 with the stock setup as-is. We look forward to adding a Brock's Performance Exhaust System and Tune to the bike along with a few of their other goodies in the near future which will significantly improve the bike's performance.

As of October, Erica continues to post 1/4 mile ET's of 9.5 seconds at 146 mph and defeated each and every contender of the night. 

 

She has now been Drag Racing for 4 months and is putting down times on her Stock ZX14 (Stock swingarm, factory tune, Bridgestone tires, only lowered) like no one else. We are in the process of setting up the ZX14 per AMA SuperSport Rules but we're leaving the big improvement items for last such as Exhaust, Programmers and Wheel Bearings as we want to see what kind of times she can actually produce with the Stock Bike with the factory tune and hugely restrictive and heavy stock exhaust system.
